John David Curlis

ABOUT ME

I am an evolutionary biologist studying color and signaling in animals. I try to answer one of the most fundamental questions in biology: how can we explain the patterns of phenotypic diversity found in nature?

I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the
Biology Department at Harvey Mudd College. I completed my PhD in Alison Davis Rabosky's lab at the University of Michigan, my master's degree in Christian Cox's lab at Georgia Southern University, and my bachelor's degree in Bob Cox's lab at the University of Virginia.
